Digital X-Ray & Diagnostic Radiography
The Department of Radio-Diagnosis at Aditya Hospital (Aditya Lifeline Pvt. Ltd.) provides fast, low-radiation, and high-definition Digital X-Ray (DR / Computed Radiography) services round the clock in Indore. Equipped with advanced digital detectors, our radiology unit delivers crystal-clear musculoskeletal and chest imaging, enabling rapid bone fracture identification, pulmonary assessment, and pre-operative evaluations with minimal patient radiation exposure.
1. Advanced Digital Radiography (DR) Technology
Modern digital X-ray replaces conventional chemical film development with digital sensors, ensuring sharp diagnostic precision, instant imaging, and elevated safety standards:
- Significantly Reduced Radiation Dose: Modern high-sensitivity digital sensors require much lower radiation doses compared to traditional analog film X-rays.
- Instant Image Processing: High-resolution digital radiographs are produced within seconds, preventing unnecessary waiting times during critical trauma situations.
- Superior Image Quality & Contrast: Digital post-processing allows image enhancement, zooming, and contrast adjustments for micro-fracture and soft-tissue evaluation.
- PACS & Digital Record Sharing: Seamless digital archiving with immediate availability on doctor viewing stations and electronic delivery to patients.
2. Comprehensive Radiographic Investigations Offered
Our diagnostic radiology suite covers the entire anatomical spectrum for routine and emergency clinical needs:
Chest Digital X-Rays (PA & Lateral)
Immediate diagnosis of respiratory infections, pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumothorax, pleural effusion, and cardiomegaly (enlarged heart).
Orthopedic & Skeletal Radiography
High-clarity views of upper and lower extremities, joints, pelvic girdle, dislocations, degenerative arthritis, and hairline fracture detection.
Spine & Vertebral Imaging
Detailed views of the Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar, and Sacral spine (AP, Lateral, and Flexion-Extension views) for disc narrowing, spondylosis, and postural alignment.
Abdomen & KUB Radiography
Kidney-Ureter-Bladder (KUB) and erect abdominal views to screen for radiopaque kidney stones, bowel gas patterns, and acute intestinal obstructions.

3. Radiation Safety & Patient Preparation
Patient safety is our foremost clinical priority. We follow international safety guidelines to keep diagnostic exposure as low as reasonably achievable:
- Protective Lead Aprons & Gonadal Shields: Specialized lead shielding is provided to safeguard radiation-sensitive tissues and non-target body regions.
- Zero Preparation for Routine Scans: No fasting is needed for standard skeletal or chest X-rays; patients can walk in and get tested immediately.
- Metal & Jewelry Protocol: Patients are advised to remove necklaces, belts, metal zippers, or piercings in the target area to avoid radio-opacity artifacts.
- Pregnancy Safety Protocol: Female patients of reproductive age must notify the staff of suspected or confirmed pregnancy prior to imaging.
4. Integrated Emergency & Orthopedic Support
Our digital radiography facility operates in direct coordination with the Orthopedic, Pulmonology, and Emergency Trauma departments, enabling doctors to review high-resolution digital X-rays on screen within minutes and begin immediate immobilization, plastering, or surgical intervention.
